女優のリサ(Lisa Linde)と2000年７月結婚し、子どもは息子と娘が１人ずついる






何気なく育ちの良さが感じられたると思ったら、やっぱり父親はカンザス州立大学の教授だった。
1991年オクラホマ州立大学に進学し放送ジャーナリズムを専攻するがするが演劇を学びたいと思い１年で退学する。
なおXメンで共演しているレベッカ・ローミンとは同じ高校で、彼女も大学を中退している。


1991年家族でハワイにバカンス滞在中、俳優のカーク・キャメロン、妹のキャンディス・キャメロン・ブレに出会い L.A. に誘われたのが俳優としてのキャリアの始まりだそうだ。
80年後半から90年代にかけて端役をこなしていたが、1993年のＴＶドラマ出演により俳優としての本格的なキャリアをスタートする。
